Accessibility is not a decorative claim or a final checkbox. It is an operating discipline: remove preventable barriers, listen when a barrier is found, and improve the system.
Our commitment
Alcoden is committed to providing digital experiences that are accessible to people with disabilities. We are working to integrate accessibility into the design, development, content, review, and maintenance of our public website and related digital materials.
We recognize that people use the web with different combinations of browsers, keyboards, screen readers, magnification, voice input, switch controls, captions, color settings, motion preferences, and other assistive technologies. Our aim is to support meaningful access rather than require one method of interaction.
Scope of this statement
This statement applies to the public pages at alcoden-os.com and Alcoden-controlled public pages linked from that site. The public experience is being consolidated as a server-hosted AIGOV site under Alcoden control.
Authenticated portals, assessments, transaction flows, third-party platforms, and downloadable documents may require additional evaluation and may present their own accessibility information. The appearance of a link or future feature does not represent that the feature has already been activated or independently certified.
Accessibility standard
Alcoden’s current target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. WCAG organizes accessibility around four principles: content should be perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust.
The current AIGOV public-page source set has completed Alcoden’s internal structural accessibility review against a WCAG 2.2 Level AA target. This is not a representation that every third-party service, future page, authenticated service, or downloadable file has completed a comprehensive independent conformance audit.
This statement is a commitment and status description, not a certification, warranty, or limitation of rights available under applicable law.
Measures we take
Accessibility measures incorporated into the website production process include:
- Using semantic HTML, meaningful page titles, headings, landmarks, labels, and link text.
- Designing keyboard-operable navigation and visible focus states.
- Providing text alternatives for meaningful non-text content and hiding decorative graphics from assistive technology.
- Reviewing text contrast, responsive behavior, zoom, spacing, and content order.
- Avoiding reliance on color alone to communicate essential meaning.
- Respecting reduced-motion preferences and avoiding unnecessary flashing content.
- Using accessible names, states, and status announcements for interactive controls where applicable.
- Including accessibility in page review, defect correction, and future component decisions.
Current design features
Compatibility
The public website is intended to work with current versions of commonly used browsers and assistive technologies, with JavaScript and cookies enabled only as needed for the selected functions. Older or unsupported browser and assistive-technology combinations may not receive the same experience.
Accessibility depends on the interaction among the website, browser, operating system, device settings, assistive technology, and third-party components. If a combination creates a barrier, please report it so we can evaluate the specific path.
Technical approach
The accessibility of Alcoden’s public pages relies on web technologies including HTML, CSS, SVG, and JavaScript. These technologies are used with semantic structure and accessibility information intended to support interoperability with browsers and assistive technologies.
Where custom components are used—such as the navigation drawer, expandable menus, search interface, forms, and animated visuals—we aim to provide accessible names, keyboard behavior, programmatic states, logical focus handling, and reduced-motion alternatives.
Known and potential limitations
The AIGOV public site is being consolidated on Alcoden’s server, and accessibility review continues as pages and connected services move through publication and production updates. Potential limitations may include:
- Third-party or authenticated services may expose navigation, focus behavior, cookie controls, or embedded components that Alcoden cannot fully modify.
- Older downloadable files or documents that have not yet completed document-level accessibility review.
- Third-party content or services whose source code and remediation schedule are outside Alcoden’s direct control.
- New or revised pages that are temporarily under review following publication.
We do not treat these limitations as permanent exceptions. Reported barriers will be evaluated for correction, an accessible alternative, or another reasonable route to the information or function.
Third-party content and services
Some links, embeds, email applications, hosting controls, or future transaction and client services may be provided by third parties. Alcoden cannot directly control every accessibility feature of an independent provider, but accessibility is considered when selecting, configuring, and reviewing such services.
If a third-party barrier prevents access to Alcoden information or a requested Alcoden function, contact us. We will evaluate an alternative route within Alcoden’s control where reasonably possible.
Assessment approach
WCAG 2.2 Level AA
Internal design and code review, structural validation, keyboard-oriented implementation, responsive review, and issue correction during production.
No claim of a completed comprehensive independent audit or assistive-technology user test for every AIGOV route and connected third-party service.
Review during page production, after material updates, and when accessibility feedback identifies a barrier.
Automated tools can identify some issues but cannot establish accessibility on their own. Alcoden’s approach is intended to combine technical checks with manual review and, as the production system matures, practical testing of real interaction paths.
Alternative access and formats
If you cannot access information or complete an available function because of a disability-related barrier, contact Alcoden and describe the information or task you need. Where reasonably possible, we will work to provide the information through an accessible format or alternate method.
Please identify any time-sensitive need in the message. Availability and timing may depend on the content, requested format, third-party involvement, and complexity of remediation.
Feedback and contact
Accessibility feedback is valuable because a technically valid page can still create a practical barrier. When reporting an issue, include as much of the following as you are comfortable providing:
Tell us where access broke.
- The page address or name.
- What you were trying to do.
- What happened and what you expected.
- Your browser, device, and assistive technology, if relevant.
- The best way to reply and any alternative format requested.
Use the subject “Accessibility Feedback” or “Accessible Format Request.” Alcoden will review the issue and determine an appropriate response or remediation path. Please do not include passwords, payment-card data, medical records, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
Continuous improvement
Accessibility expectations, technologies, and the Alcoden site will continue to evolve. We may update this statement as pages are added, evaluation methods mature, known issues are corrected, or applicable standards change. The current version and update date will remain available at this URL.
This statement does not reduce any accessibility obligation or right provided by applicable law.
